Home Deserts

24 Sep

We have about  10 fruit trees in our garden at the moment and they all individually generate so much fruit that we are drowning in pears, apples, figs, lemons …. you name it! I’ve taken to giving them away to the neighbors so that someone can at least get some use out of them!

I was desperate for a crumble one night – a very traditional British desert that’s quite often eaten on a  cold winter’s day but we don’t get many of those here in California so I often find myself craving heavy rich things on the hottest days! A quick search on the internet, one Jamie Oliver Crumble recipe , and quick run around the garden picking all the required fruit  (apples & pears and lemons) and voila….One delicious fruit crumble…

So easy to make and yet so yummy that I might just have to eat this more often!
