We are getting to the stage in our home that I have dreamed of for so long, the decorating stage. To be honest it’s almost overwhelming as I cant afford to get it wrong. I have a full house to do and I don’t know where to start!!!
So I decided to take a deep breath and let inspiration come to me – I figured that if I give it enough time ideas and pieces will appear and our home will develop its style organically. It doesn’t have to be perfect from day one. The one thing I do know is that I want art, lots of art, and I want to own art that speaks to me.
I found this in the work of Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf today. I am stunned by his photographs – they are so evocative, moody and sensual whilst being incredibly restrained. I particularly love this 60’s style series. Part fashion, part social commentary, part painting – they are so beautifully composed.
I would love to own one of these pieces for my home art collection! You can check out more of his work here.
